la catrina y el Zempasuchitl

=] me fui a dar una vuelta al centro de la ciudad y esta vez encontre un sin fin de festividades por el dia de muertos.

no tengo nada en contra del clasico halloween pero me fascina aun mas los constraste y la carga cultural de nuestro propio dia de muertos.

la flor de zempasuchitl (matenme si esta mal escrito xDU) es una de los simbolos mas representativos en la tipica ofrenda a los muertos. dice la leyenda que es necesario hacer un camino de petalos de esta flor afuera de nuestra casa para que los difuntos sepan el sendero y no se pierdan.

a mi en lo personal me encanta el olor de esta flor pero a muchos les parece demasiado fuerte. talvez sea su encanto =3

I have nothing against the classic halloween but I love even more the cultural construct and the burden of our own mexican celebrity of dead.

zempasuchitl flower (kill me if its misspelled xDU) is one of the most symbolic thing in the typical offering to our dead. Legend says that it is necessary to make a path of petals of this flower outside our house for the dead know the path and not be lost.

personally I love the smell of this flower but many find it too strong. perhaps is its charm = 3
